In regards to the "Juror's Prize" award at OMAH's 2016 Annual Carmicheal Landscape Exhibition;

"The juror's felt that you addressed the landscape in a new and avant-garde way, deconstruction the landscape.  Traditionally the landscape has been about the human gaze activating our relationship with it, as a separate observer.  You actually take us and connect us to the landscape.  In doing so, you have honoured the landscape's uniqueness in a revelatory way.  You have a post-apocalyptic examination/observation of how nature will assert itself through the urban destruction.  Your work asserts itself;  skeletal form, fungi relate to the spine, contrasting element, one is decaying, one is asserting, nature re-asserting itself.  The fungi, their own systems; they have their own intelligence.  The work gives us bodily feelings about the landscape; what we all want to do, you have positioned us in it." -Ninette Gyorody, Executive Director
